1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Car O2 (the "Platform"), you ("Customer" or "Mechanic") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- "Customer" – An individual or business seeking repair, maintenance, or towing services.
- "Mechanic" – An independent professional or business offering repair, maintenance, or towing services.
- "Service" – Any automotive repair, routine maintenance, or towing requested via the Platform.
- "We"/"Us" – The operator of the Platform.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Mechanics must provide valid trade license, liability insurance, and any legally required permits.
- Customers must have legal authority to request service for the vehicle in question.
4. Platform Role (Important Disclaimer)
We are not a service provider.
We operate a marketplace that connects Customers with independent Mechanics. We do not employ, endorse, or control Mechanics. Each Mechanic is an independent contractor, not an employee, agent, or partner of Car O2.
- We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any Service.
- We do not perform background checks beyond information provided by Mechanics (e.g., license verification where required by law).
- Customers and Mechanics are solely responsible for their interactions and agreements.
5. User Accounts
- You must provide accurate, current information.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Fraudulent activity or false information.
- Harassment, abuse, or unsafe behavior.
- Violation of these Terms.
6. Booking & Payment
6.1 For Customers
- You agree to pay the price quoted on the Platform at the time of booking (or a good-faith estimate for towing/repairs requiring inspection).
- Additional charges may apply if: (a) the Mechanic discovers unforeseen issues, (b) you change the scope of work, or (c) you are not present for a scheduled appointment.
- Towing services: You are responsible for providing accurate location and ensuring the vehicle is accessible.
6.2 For Mechanics
- You agree to honor the quoted price or estimate unless you obtain Customer consent for additional charges via the Platform (so there is a record).
- You must issue a receipt/invoice through the Platform when payment is completed.
- You are responsible for collecting payment (our system processes payments but does not guarantee collection if a Customer defaults; we may assist with dispute resolution).
6.3 Payment Processing
All payments are processed by third-party payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We are not liable for payment processor errors, fees, or delays. You agree to their terms as well.
6.4 Fees & Commissions
We charge Mechanics a service fee (e.g., 10–20% of the transaction value) for each job booked via the Platform. Fees are deducted before payout. We may change fees with 30 days’ notice.
7. Cancellations & Refunds

Dispute resolution: Contact support@[yourdomain].com. We may review chat logs, photos, and location data. Our decision is final for Platform-related refunds.
8. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate vehicle info, issue description, and accessible location.
- Ensure safe working conditions (e.g., flat ground for repairs, not in a hazardous area).
- Pay for services received.
- Do not solicit Mechanics for off-platform work (violation may result in account ban).
9. Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform services with reasonable skill and care (industry standard).
- Carry valid liability insurance and required permits.
- Provide clear, upfront pricing and obtain written (in-app) approval for extra charges.
- Arrive within the agreed time window; notify Customer of delays.
- Do not subcontract a job without Customer consent (via Platform).
- Do not solicit Customers for off-platform repeat business to avoid fees.
10. Towing Services Specific Rules
- Tow trucks must be properly licensed and insured for the vehicle weight/type.
- Customers must remove all personal belongings before towing.
- Mechanics are responsible for any damage caused during towing (except pre-existing damage documented via photos).
- Storage fees (if applicable) must be disclosed before towing.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Car O2 is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from services performed by Mechanics.
- Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us (as a Customer) or the fees we retained (as a Mechanic) in the prior 3 months.
- We are not liable for property damage, personal injury, or vehicle damage caused by a Mechanic. Your sole remedy is against the Mechanic or their insurance.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Car O2 harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Platform.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your interaction with another user (e.g., a dispute over repair quality).
13. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Use the Platform for illegal activities (e.g., stolen vehicle towing).
- Post false or misleading reviews.
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
- Reverse-engineer or scrape the Platform.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, you must pay any outstanding amounts. Mechanics will receive final payout for completed, undisputed jobs.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.
